Mango & Papaya has been with Shortie's since day one. In the early years, it was a star—fresh, juicy, and full of that “I need this” energy. Our Farmers Market regulars couldn't get enough. But over time, the sparkle faded. What was once vibrant and mouthwatering had become… flat. Dry. A whisper instead of a shout.

In late 2023, I made a decision: this scent deserved its comeback. I started with papaya—big mistake. The flavor was dry, the aroma uninspiring. I shelved the project.

But early 2024, something shifted. The challenge kept calling me back. This time, I bought both: the mango and the papaya. I let the mango ripen until it was dripping with sweetness. I cut the papaya, scooped the seeds, and here's where everything changed— I didn't just taste. I smelled the papaya while eating the mango.

That's when it hit me. The lush tropical brightness of mango, colliding with the soft, creamy, slightly exotic note of papaya—that was the magic I'd been missing.

From there, I teamed up with our Fragrance Friends to capture that perfect moment in scent form. It took over a year. Countless tests. Tweaks so tiny they'd make your head spin. But finally—we nailed it. Juicy. Fun. Tropical without being cloying. Alive again.

Now, Mango & Papaya is back. Better. Bolder. Ready to be your next favorite.
