The other morning I was getting ready for the day. I was meditating and a thought came to me. I followed the impulse to write a letter to myself and today I felt the impulse to share it with you below. When we have the impulse "to do" it means we have something that the world needs. Follow those impulses and tell me in 2 years where you land.
Every Raindrop Has a Friend.
Raindrops accumulate in the clouds together and leave the clouds together. Raindrops are never alone. Raindrops always have a friend near or right next to them. They're on the same path, down to earth, to replenish. The heat, wind or an object will sometimes affect their journey. You've had a time where you only felt 1 drop. There were more that fell...just not on you.
A raindrop leaves the cloud long before we realize it's even left the cloud. Long before we're ready for it. Long before it makes its way down to us. It leaves the cloud way before it makes its entrance into our life. And way before we get to enjoy its moisture.
It falls and we receive
It gives and we take
It shares and we accept
When we're in a drought, we accept it no matter how much mud it creates.
This is the same as with teachings, growth and learning.
When we're in a drought, we accept it with open arms, lots of tears and we allow ourselves to grow. (With an unmatched openness when we're already full).
These drops allow us to grow our roots, open our leaves and soak up the sun. To grow your roots you have to sit in the dirt, accept the droplets and allow them to infiltrate your new mind, while you stand firm in this growth and don't allow yourself to be swept away or cut away by storms, lawnmowers and hedge trimmers. Those that don't believe where you're headed are right...because they don't see it in themselves.
We all know how to survive. We're here to drink the water and grow tall and strong. If you want to be that plant that enjoys the lush ground and the other lush flowers and animals around you…allow yourself to grow. Allow the rain to fall and rush toward you like a river and cover you with life. And as the water recedes, feel how you've grown! Your leaves are shinier, your petal colors are drastically enhanced and your roots are healthier.
Once a raindrop hits what's directly below it, it's successful. A raindrop's goal is to get all the way down to what's below it. That's it. Can success really be that simple? When we open our "Idea Flood Gates" and move forward with a new tiny raindrop and we simply move with it – that's success. It can feel lonely when we're that raindrop falling toward our destination. Allow your raindrop to fall where you're aiming at. Simply keep going until you hit it. One tiny raindrop at a time.
A raindrop seems simple enough because it just moves in one direction and allows gravity to pull it. Well what if we just move in 1 direction and allow gravity to pull us? Fall into success. What's right below you isn't what's right below the person next to you. What's right below one raindrop isn't what's right below the raindrop next to it. You're not supposed to hit the same thing that person next to you hits. You have your own journey.
Allow the Raindrops to come. Celebrate them. Run in them and with them. Not from them. Like a raindrop, be free, be trusting and kind to the raindrops next to you. When you get where you're going, the other raindrops will be there as well.
Reseed You with new ideas and allow the Raindrops to fall.
Love, Georgia
